EHR for Cardiology Practices

We understand that in your cardiology practice, providing quality care means comprehensively documenting patient exams, capturing and monitoring results from a broad range of diagnostic tests, and delivering carefully considered treatment plans. When considering an electronic health records system (EHR), you need a solution that allows you to capture detailed data from a variety of sources, along with providing context in the form of decision support for the management of cardiovascular disorders.

Sage Intergy EHR Summary for Cardiology

Improving care through device integration
Sage Intergy EHR V5.5 takes cardiology device integration to the next level through integration with HeartCentrix devices. Now clinicians can directly import discrete, minable data - not just images, but data - from supported cardiology devices (Quinton and Burdick). Data and images from ECG/EKG and Stress Test readings can be accessed directly from within the patient chart. Then that data can be reported on and used to populate flowsheets.

Using a unique interface with HeartCentrix by Cardiac Science, Sage Intergy EHR now gives clinicians the ability to view studies from supported cardiology devices and equipment such as ECG and Stress right from the patient’s electronic chart. We take this to the next level by also importing discrete, minable data that can be trended in flowsheets and populate patient visit notes.

With Sage Intergy EHR, cardiology practices can:

  • Streamline documentation and reduce transcription costs by using detailed, user-friendly, cardiology-specific templates
  • Capture and record important cardiovascular measurements and vital signs
  • Send laboratory orders and receive results electronically
  • Trend vital signs, symptoms, physical findings and cardiovascular measurements along with laboratory results and active medications, on a single flowsheet
  • Automate medication management with integrated electronic prescriptions with formulary and interaction database
  • Use predictive order management to suggest orders sets (medications, tests, procedures, etc.) by condition
  • Order and schedule common in-office and facility-based diagnostic procedures
  • Leverage clinical data and results to trigger health reminders and alerts
  • Produce automated clinical correspondence such as consult letters and patient care plans and education

Upper Michigan Cardiovascular Associates implemented Sage Intergy EHR and Sage Intergy practice management to help them manage the demands of a rapidly growing practice without adding additional support staff or chart storage space. “[Sage Intergy] was obviously intuitive and easy to use. With 75 people in a fast-paced business…it needed to be something they could pick up quickly,” says Shawn Wagner, chief operating officer. Read more...
