Sage Practice Analytics V5.5 featuring dashboards

"Game changer" for business and clinical intelligence

Version 5.5 of Sage Practice Analytics, Sage’s powerful business and clinical intelligence solution for medical practices, sets a new standard for detailed reporting and analysis while placing a greater emphasis on ease-of-use and instant access to key decision making information.

This comes at a critical time in healthcare when the need to drive greater efficiency and productivity is more important than ever before as performance-based reimbursement trends and government incentives for health technology point toward clinical reporting.

The "game changer" is the introduction of a powerful new analytical "dashboards" feature.

For many years, we have stressed report writing in Sage Practice Analytics. While ad-hoc report writing certainly remains a powerful feature for users, dashboards will forever change how the product is used within the healthcare organization, as well as who uses it.

Designed to be completely intuitive, these dashboards give instant click-and-view access to summaries and trending of data in a highly graphical format. This means time-starved individuals-such as physicians, CFOs, administrators and billing managers-can now review key performance metrics without having to take a training class!

In addition to robust financial reporting, Sage Practice Analytics users can use dashboards to view quality metrics for Diabetes and Preventive Care. These dashboards look at clinical data captured in Sage Intergy EHR and graphically show how well the practice is performing for a standard measure.

Dashboards are available for use with Sage Intergy and Sage Intergy EHR. Development is underway for a Sage Medical Manager dashboard and is planned for release in the first quarter of 2010. Work is also underway to devise an expanded "ad hoc" dashboard to identify patient populations based on various clinical criteria. This will help practices with diverse quality reporting requirements expected to arise as the government finalizes its definition of "meaningful use."

Sage’s goal beyond Sage Practice Analytics version 5.5 is to continue evolving toward current trends in both healthcare and business intelligence. We’re looking for new and better ways to leverage our technology in a flexible way that helps practices respond quickly to the complex and ever-changing information needs in healthcare.
