Multi-specialty Practice Goes Paperless In Effort to Reduce Costs
TAMPA, Fla. April 10, 2007 – Sage Software announced that Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa, a multi-specialty practice based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has selected Intergy by Sage as its Electronic Health Records (EHR) and practice management system.
Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa, PCI (PCI) is a 50-provider, multi-specialty practice servicing 15 locations in Eastern Iowa. PCI is a large ISO 9001 quality certified organization that strives to improve patient outcomes and safety as well as practice efficiencies. Retrieving and sharing patient records across the clinic’s various locations, as well as within the community, is a challenge, and transcription costs are high. Ultimately, the clinic made the decision to move to a paperless environment. After an extensive vendor evaluation process, Intergy by Sage was chosen due to several factors, including the software’s intuitive design and ability to create customizable clinical forms, and Sage Software’s willingness to work with PCI.
